Dearest Pebby Backers,
In the previous update about how we were moving our development after Edison discontinuation. We entirely reworked PCBs, Mechanics, added a new enhanced camera and more powerful batteries. Previously our update, we have received from our manufacturer new set of mechanics and we have been doing assembly, testing and fine-tuning all modules together.
We are excited to announce that we reached a new milestone in our prototyping work! We have hands-on first few fully assembled robots in the new design, do take a look at the attached short clip on the new version – Good as before, and even runs on carpets!
There’s been a lot of queries coming regarding the expected delivery date. As much as we would like to go big on our mass deliveries, a procedure for every product have to follow under the manufacturer (EVT/DVT/MP).
We will be starting a beta test program where pre-select early backers who have sent us their voluntary interest to be part of our beta test. For selected ones, you will receive an email with confirmation. Please note we can only accept backers from a few countries (Singapore, Russia, Taiwan). We have placed an order for 30 units that will be distributed for tests. We aim to compile a survey on the user experience, interface friendliness, parts durability and of course – pet responses!
We’ll be sending samples to certification labs to clear for necessary export requirements and until we get pending replies from within the production circle, it’s still early to state expected delivery dates. Hopefully, in the next update, we can be more firm in this.
Pebby website is revamped! We have added a blog page for us to post all the ins and outs of development, founders’ rants, production, founders’ hair fall problems and pets!
